Have you thought about Scuba for Science or Sport?
Students can either take part in a Scuba Course as part of their Marine Studies Course or they can take it up for a Sport. This course designed to give students the skills and confidence they need to plan and carry out their own dives to a maximum depth of 18m without an instructors’ supervision.
What are the requirements?
• Minimum age is 12
• Ability to swim

What will they do on the course?
THEORY LESSONS
There are two ways Scuba Shack can conduct theory lessons with your students. An instructor can come to your school on 4 chosen days to give your students all the theory lessons involved in becoming an open water diver. Alternatively the students can take home a CD Rom to complete themselves in a certain time frame. Students will be asked to complete knowledge reviews and these can be done in class time or at home. An exam will be done on the final days before pool dives commence. Both knowledge reviews and exam will be completed before the pool session starts.
POOL DIVES
Your students will undertake an entire days training in the pool, or pool training can be timed to accommodate sport times. In this case 3 pool sessions are needed. Students will learn all the skills required to become and open water Scuba Diver.
OCEAN DIVES
Your students will undertake 4 ocean dives. Depending on what time frame your school allows for diving these dive days can be done in 2 days, but spread out to 4 if needed.

•SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Certification Card allowing you to dive to 18m anywhere in the world.
